Wrigley passes on.

Today was a very sad day with the loss of this very sweet, adorable, pup. This horrible disease – distemper – was too advanced when we received him. Please, please remember to vaccinate your dogs against this and keep your shots up to date. This pup was exposed to a situation he never should have been and had no natural immunity built up. Give your own pups a big hug tonight and thanks for caring.

Meet Wrigley

Wrigley needed our help today.   He came in to a local shelter with signs that he has distemper.   A note was sent to me from the shelter asking if we could help him.   I have a group of wonderful volunteers and I  received almost an immediate offer to run to the shelter and pick him up.   He came in to rescue this afternoon and went to Family Member Veterinary Hospital for care.  Dr. Glover and the staff immediately went in to action to start helping him.   He is getting the necessary supportive care and a test was sent out to verify if he has distemper or another condition.   Hopefully that will come back by late tomorrow.   Now we can only wait and hope for the best.   I will update as I receive information.

Keisha thanks you for your support!

Keisha's spirit shines through this beautiful smile and she is working so hard to rehabilitate since her major surgery. But she has a long road ahead! A sling allows her to get outside for very short periods of time but it will take months of rehabilitation for Keisha to fully recover. GRCGLAR continues to be grateful for your continued financial support as you make it possible for Goldens like Keisha to live the life they so deserve. If Keisha could she'd give you a high-five, and hopefully with time and your kind donations, you might just get one!
