Leo is in a foster home and doing very well. He has excellent house manners, loves his foster mom and has enjoyed meeting new people that come over. He has fully recovered from his surgery and now he its waiting for the perfect home to come along that will love him for who he is and accept his limitations that come with laryngeal paralysis which is mainly limited activity. He is a lovely dog and deserves the best!

Meet Leo!

Leo was found tied up in a homeless encampment. Initially, he was very fearful but with time and love, he has settled in nicely and is enjoying life in his foster home.

Leo was diagnosed with Laryngeal Paralysis which is a condition where a dog's windpipe fails to open correctly when breathing in. Rather than opening as it should, the sides of the windpipe are sucked into the opening. In severe cases, laryngeal paralysis can lead to suffocation, but treatment is available if caught early.  Leo had a corrective surgery which was successful and he has recovered beautifully. And, we have seen a marked improvement in his energy level.

Leo is ready for adoption!
