Pi was picked up by the Pasadena Humane Society (PHS). He was a stray. While at PHS, Pi was diagnosed with having a mast cell tumor on his right front paw. Possibly this was the reason that no one came looking for him at the shelter? PHS asked us if we could take Pi because no one came to claim him and because he was not a dog that they would be able to find a home for.
Pi is as sweet as they come. He has a good energy level, in spite of his cancer. We took him to see a specialist on Monday, April 7th. The specialist recommended various over-the-counter supplements (which Pi will be getting started on this week), along with a cancer drug (either Palladia or Masitinib). Because these drugs can be expensive, we are contacting the manufacturers to see if they would be kind enough to donate them to Pi.
Please keep Pi in your prayers as we work to give him the happiest, healthiest life we can. If you would like to donate to help Pi, that would be greatly appreciated!
