At the request of a representative from one of the pharmaceutical companies, a cancer specialist has agreed to treat Pi at a reduced cost. Pi is not receiving the anti-cancer drug Masitinib, instead he is receiving steroid injections into the tumor site. Our hope is to reduce the size of the tumor and hold back the spread of cancer. Pi has already received a couple of treatments, althoughhis tumor doesn't seem to be getting any smaller at this time. We will continue to pursue this treatment plan and, hopefully, the cancer has at least slowed down. In the meantime, Pi is doing very well at his foster home with his foster siblings.
