Today I went to visit Banjo and what a different dog. Yes, he still has his stitches from his surgery but he is now eating and starting to be a puppy. Everyone is relieved that he is doing so well. He had not eaten in over a week and had lost weight so he has a lot of catching up to do. He is still finishing up his medication and will be on some medicine for his loose stools until they improve. Once the vets feel he is ready to start his puppy shots, we'll go ahead and get them started. He's now in a foster home and when I called last night he was asleep in his crate after a big day in another new place.
I want to thank all of those involved in helping this puppy to recover and have a good chance at a nice life. When he came in to rescue we did not know if he would survive. He had excellent veterinarians taking care of him and watching over him. Both the vets and their staff went the extra mile for this boy. Our rescue supported helping him and I am so proud of all that we do to help these furry kids.
