Meet Chance

Chance arrived in rescue this afternoon. He has so many medical issues, which can all be fixed, but "oh dear, where do we start". Let's see, ear infections in both ears, skin infection, eye infection, and then we have this enormous mass on his rear. Thankfully, all tests were favorable and he could be treated and made more comfortable. The mass on his rear, while it was hugh, appeared to be totally encapsulated, and removable.

Now for the great news, this boy loves people and other dogs, is just the sweetest boy, enjoys his medicated baths, and is an easy dog to love.

I will send updates after the surgery.

Meet Rasta

Rasta was surrendered by his owner, who had him since he was 8 weeks old, because the owner could not afford his medical expenses. Rasta has Aspergillois (a nasty fungal infection), 2 masses (benign) and allergies. A cat scan indicated significant damage to his nasal cavity, but the infection did not go through the plate leading to his brain. We provided an intra-nasal infusion of fungal medication, hence the lobotomy look. Rasta is much improved, but still has discharges from one eye and one nostril. He will probably be on special fungal medications long term. His fur is growing back and he is now a happy boy at his foster home.
