One pup's good luck

Fortune is a 3-4 month old boy who was found at the shelter. He was turned in by his owner because his face had some sort of rash and he was having trouble walking. Fortune was diagnosed with a disease called Puppy Strangles. Puppy Strangles is primarily an immune system disorder that can take place in pups between 2 and 4 months of age, and if properly treated, leaves the puppy with a completely healthy and functional immune system. However, if not diagnosed properly and if left untreated, it can cause swelling of the lymph glands in the throat which may enlarge and interfere with the puppy's swallowing and breathing, thus the name Puppy Strangles.

Fortune is under the care of our vet. We'll keep you posted on his progress.
